Trekking Rinjani Summit 4D/3N to Senaru Rim

Overview :

Rinjani Summit 4D/3N to Senaru Rim is one of the trekking packages offered by Rinjani National Park. The trek starts from Sembalun, heading to the Sembalun Crater Rim with an overnight stay in a tent. It continues with a climb to the Rinjani summit, descent to the lake and hot springs for another night in a tent, then ascends to Senaru Crater Rim for the final campsite before descending to Senaru village in North Lombok on the last day.

Tour Itinerary :

Arrival Day : Greeting at any location on Lombok Island

• You will be picked up by our driver from Lombok International Airport or other ports such as Bangsal Harbor, Senggigi, Lembar, Mataram City, or Kuta Mandalika in South Lombok.
• After meeting our driver, you will be transferred to our office in Senaru village.
• Estimated travel times: from the airport is about 4 hours, from Bangsal Harbor 1 hour 30 minutes, from Senggigi 2 hours, from Mataram City 3 hours 30 minutes, and from Kuta Mandalika 4 hours 30 minutes.
• Upon arrival at our office, you will be warmly welcomed with a drink. While enjoying it, we will provide a briefing about your chosen Rinjani trekking package to help you better prepare.
• After the briefing, you will be driven to the hotel we provide for you to rest and stay overnight before starting the trek the next morning.
• A welcome drink will be served on the arrival day, and breakfast will be provided at the hotel on the trekking start day.

Details Itinerary :

Day 01: (Rinjani Summit 4D/3N to Senaru)

• Highlight: (Senaru Village – Sembalun Village (1,150 m) – Sembalun Crater Rim (2,639 m))
• Wake up at 6:00 AM
• Breakfast around 6:30–6:40 AM, and our special mountain transport will take you to Sembalun village (approx. 45 minutes to 1 hour drive)
• Arrive in Sembalun Village at about 8:00 AM, followed by registration at the Rinjani Information Center (RIC) 1051 MASL
• Start the trek to Pos 1 (Pemantauan) at 1300 MASL (walking time approx. 2 hours)
• Short rest for 5–10 minutes at Pos 1, then continue to Pos 2 (Tengengean) at 1500 MASL (about 1 hour trek)
• Take another short break (5–10 minutes) at Pos 2
• Continue to Pos 3 (Pada Balong) at 1800 MASL (about 1 hour trek)
• Rest for 2 hours at Pos 3 while the guide and porters prepare lunch and hot drinks (tea, coffee, hot chocolate, or lemon tea)
• After lunch and a break, continue the hike to Sembalun Crater Rim (Pelawangan Sembalun) at 2639 MASL (approx. 3 hours hike including steep uphill sections)
• Set up camp and stay overnight at Sembalun Crater Rim, enjoying the spectacular views

Day 02: (Rinjani Summit 4D/3N to Senaru)

• Highlight: (Rinjani Summit 3,726 MASL – Segara Anak Lake and Hot Springs 2008 MASL – Senaru Crater Rim 2,641 MASL)
• Wake up at 2:30 AM for a light breakfast
• Depart at 3:00 AM to climb to the Rinjani summit (approx. 3 hours 20 minutes trek)
• The first stage is a moderate climb for about 120 minutes, followed by a relatively easy but long trek
• The final part is steep and challenging (loose rocks cause you to slide back as you climb)
• From the summit, enjoy a breathtaking view of Lombok, Bali, Sumbawa, and Segara Anak Lake. After sunrise, return to the crater rim for a hot breakfast and a short break
• Then begin the steep and slippery descent to the lake and hot springs—be extra cautious
• It takes about 3 hours to reach the lake and hot springs
• Lunch will be served by the lake; the hot springs are just a 100-meter walk away, perfect for soaking and healing skin naturally
• Dinner and overnight stay will be at the lakeside camp (2,000 MASL)

Day 3: (Rinjani Summit 4D/3N to Senaru)

• Highlight: (Segara Anak Lake – Senaru Crater Rim)
• After lunch at 11:30 AM, start the climb to Senaru Crater Rim (2,641 MASL), which takes about 5 hours
• Camp overnight at the Senaru Crater Rim, which offers one of the most stunning views on the trek
• Witness a breathtaking sunset behind Mount Agung in Bali and the smoke rising from the new volcano by the lake

Day 4: (Rinjani Summit 4D/3N to Senaru)

• Highlight: (Senaru Rim – POS 3 – POS 2 – POS 1 – Jebak Gawah – Senaru Village)
• After breakfast and sunrise views
• Begin the descent through the tropical rainforest to Senaru village
• If lucky, you might spot black monkeys along the way
• The descent takes about 5 hours, with lunch provided en route
• Arrive at Senaru Village (601 MASL)
• You will be transferred to our office, then to your next destination after a short 10-minute rest
